Mt. Kanchanjunga (8586 m.) is the third highest
Mountain in the world and the second highest peak in Nepal. It
is located in the extreme northeast corner of Nepal bordering
Sikkim (an Indian State) to the east and China to the north.
This is the most adventurous of all the routes offered.
This trek beings at Tumlingtar or Taplejung accessible by air,
or Basantapur accessible by road. Soaring peaks, the Yelling
Glacier and a wide variety of natural vegetation and
agricultural areas can be seen in this region. |
