Dhaulagiri (8,167M.) is the World's sixth
highest mountain peak. It is part of great massif that includes
14 other summits exceeding 7,000 meters. The jagged ridgeline of
the Dhaulagiri Himal extends westward more than 40 miles from
the Kali Gandaki Khola. Trekking routes in this area are very
strenuous and trekkers must be equipped for Camping. Several
optional routes can be taken.
This is the most famous and popular trekking area in Nepal. In
this trek simply you will enjoy with unsurpassable views of the
Dhaulagiri, Annapurna Range, River, waterfalls, Rice field
terraces, tradition and culture.
Apart from the natural sites, the area is equally rich with
flora and fauna. The upper sub-alpine steppe environment harbors
some of the rare show leopards and blue sheep. Other areas of
the region have protected bird species such multi-colored
Impheyan, Koklas, blood pheasants.
All routes offer spectacular scenery in remote and Challenging
country and are suitable for experienced trekkers with basic
mountaineering skills. |
